SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMMES

has a long history

President of the Association

Hi!

My name is Cristy Robledo Escobedo , I obtained a scholarship from The Anglo Mexican Foundation for the Diploma in English Language Teaching the years 2002- 2003.

I also studied at The Anglo branches in Antonio Caso, Florida and Coyoacán. As a student I learnt many things, not just the language but also something about British culture.

As a student of the Diploma in English Language Teaching I had the opportunity to learn about methodology and later to share what I’ve learnt at The Anglo. One of the most significant things was working in teams. After growing up in a culture where team work is not so important, I´ve realised all the things you can achieve as a team. Team Work is an essential part of the Diploma in normal classes and for the practices in front of a group.

I must admit that during the course there were days where I thought that the things they were teaching me weren’t useful in real life but, now that I’m teaching, I see how important and useful the contents of the Diploma were.

I would like to thank the Anglo-Mexican Foundation, the Anglo and my teachers for the opportunity to become a teacher. Without he sponsorship of the Foundation it wouldn’t have been possible for me to take the Diploma.

Now I am an English teacher at Universidad Iberoamericana, Instituto Politécnico Nacional Vocacional 6 and Instituto Trans-europeo (for companies). I am also the first President of the Association of Scholars and Ex Scholars of the sponsored for The Anglo Mexican Foundation.

Best Wishes.
